Dear Yuletide 2025 Writer
From gen slice of life, with plot, or focused on platonic relationships to shipfic, poly, etc I like it all.
PWP in general is not usually my thing, but add some plot, internal/emotional conflict, or something of the sorts and you will have all my attention.
I like canon compliant/divergence fic as well as AUs. I am particularly fond of Historical AUs, any time period (except prehistoric) or region, as well as ones that add supernatural or magical elements.
General Fic Dislikes / DNWs:
- First Person POV
- Cheating
- Genderswaps as a whole
- Explicit Animal Harm, Violence or Cruelty
- Unrequested Crossovers
- Scat / Watersports / Ageplay / Rape within a Ship (consensual roleplay is okay)
- Major Character Death and Angstporn
- Too great a focus on pregnancy. Mentions of it are fine and common things like morning sickness, discomfort, doctors visits, etc are okay, but I do not want too many details and especially not explicit birthing scenes
Premier Padel RPF:
I made a promo post for this particular fandom here.
I cannot describe the giddiness this fandom brings me. Think real-life sports anime and this is it.
Padel is unique in that it lets you hear the bench-talk between the athletes and their coaches between sets, which I think really helps with the sports anime feel as we get to see the 'backstage' mid-game. Seriously, take a look at this pep-talk Agustín gives Arturo when they're losing and not playing their best, and tell me this isn't peak sports anime.
For this particular fandom, I have a preference for it being written in Spanish if you're familiar with the language, but obviously this is not obligatory since Yuletide is an English-specific event. It's just that in Spanish you get the added differences of the two's different dialects/vocab since Arturo is Spanish and Agustín is Argentine. You even get to add the different mannerisms and vocab they have adopted from the other after spending so much time together.
Below a few possible prompts for inspiration:
1) Historical AU where Arturo Coello is a King, and Agustín Tapia is a famous musician employed by or brought to his court. This is a play on their nicknames: King Arturo (Arthur) and The Mozart of Catamarca, and something they have played with sometimes
2) A fic exploring their semi long-distance relationship (since they'll see each other during the season) after Arturo moves to Miami from Madrid, and Agustín is still living in Barcelona
3) A fic exploring how they would support each other during an injury or otherwise "off" period where they did not play their best

Oh No! Here Comes Trouble:

This is such an incredible series and I love everything about it. I am especially fond of the trio of main characters and their dynamic, so be it shipfic or just them coming together to solve a new case, everything is welcome as I just want to see more of them.
Below a few possible prompts / ideas for inspiration:
1) Historical AU. Pu Yiyong is a shaman and Cao Guangyan and Chen Chuying end up entangled in the cases he solves around their town/village. Bonus if Chen Chuying disguises herself as a man in the hopes of becoming an Official and Pu Yiyong doesn't realize it until Guangyan points it out
2) Post-Canon Outsider POV of the trio at work or Guangyan/Yiyong's relationship (This could be an Obsession who seeks their help, one of Yiyong's other friends, Yiyong's or Guangyan's parent, etc Welcome to go crazy!)
- Example 1: Chen Chuying hears from Ye Baosheng during Yiyong's 2nd coma a lot of anecdotes about Yiyong's life, including That Time Baosheng saw him climbing out of Guangyan's window one morning. An investigation ensues to know whether or not she's inadvertently the Third Wheel
- Example 2: Ye Baosheng's POV of the trio at work solving cases and what she thinks they're up to since she's unaware of the Obsessions

3) Canon Compliant or Canon Divergence; High School Era. A look into the hard-to-explain animosity Yiyong holds towards Guangyan or Guangyan's confusion towards all the hate he's receiving for no reason

ABO Desire:
I do not usually care much for Omegaverse or mpreg, however I had to tune in to Television History being done here!
...And now I have to deal with the great unsatisfaction regarding the 2nd ship for Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang. While I appreciate Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyao's insane story, the itch that I have left to scratch for this fandom is all around Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang.
Below a few possible prompts / ideas for inspiration:
1) Canon Divergence. Shen Wenlang somehow learns of Gao Tu's being an Omega while they are still in school and on meeting Gao Tu's gambling addicted father learns that, sometimes, it's the Omega who is manipulated/taken advantage of by those around him rather than the other way around
2) Historical Chinese AU with Omegaverse, where omegas are prized for their fertility and even allows them to climb the social ladder as their desirability allow them to marry up. Families would, likewise, have to offer a higher bride prize for them. Without modern medicine and drugs to help him, Gao Tu's Omega status is discovered and his father intends to take full advantage. Meanwhile, Shen Wenlang is being pressured by his family to marry an Omega to carry on the family
Likes:
- Historical/Imperial Chinese AU. Especially combined with the ABO aspect, where the greatly hierarchal Chinese Society becomes even more complex by adding the different statuses of Alphas, Betas, Omegas and Enigmas
- Canon Divergent fics, exploring all the possible times Wenlang could have realized by himself that Gao Tu was an Omega instead of needing to have it spelled over and over for him if only he was a smidge smarter
- Shen Wenlang being oblivious and dumb, but not TOO much (an extra braincell is appreciated)
- Gao Tu getting the happy ending he deserves (hardship until he gets there is much welcome, since it's basically what defines his character)
- Supportive Gao Qing. I have only heard about her being different / not too great in the book and I do not want it. Gao Tu deserves to be supported just as much as he supported her
- Hua Yong's unhinged nature and almost comedic possessiveness / insanity

- Changes in the Alpha/Beta/Omega/Enigma status of the characters if keeping it Omegaverse
Joy of Life:
The second season came to remind me of how much I love Li Chengze and how ridiculous he is. His and Fan Xian's rivalry / scheming are one of the biggest highlights in the show for me, and they are my favorite characters. I am especially fond of the canonverse for this series, so I'd rather the fics be set in it, although additions such as omegaverse dynamics, supernatural beings, etc are welcome!
1) Canon Compliant; Chengze/Fan Xian slash. The Emperor's frustration with his children and their political machinations leads him to make an interesting decree: the dissolution of Fan Xian's and Li Chengze's previous betrothals to instead force the two to be wed.
2) Canon Compliant; Chengze/Bi'an slash. Behind the palace doors and hidden away from the political intrigue of the court, Chengze and Bi'an enjoy almost blissful domesticity
3) Canon Compliant; Chengze/Fan Xian slash. A political plot gone wrong involving an aphrodisiac (think sex pollen) ends with enemies/rivals Li Chengze and Fan Xian bedding each other
